I too have experienced the yucky shoes from wearing them too long in the wrong place. I have found they clean up nicely with hand sanitizer, which is mostly alcohol anyway, and they end up smelling better too.
Tip: Not a good idea to wear open toe sandals to a captains meeting the night before a fishing tournament. But I keep making the same mistake.

I agree with B but no one will be looking at your feet. They will be too busy eyeballing your decolletage in a bustier!!!
