But then I saw this picture on a website devoted to awkward family photos, and felt it really summed up how we felt about the self-proclaimed “King of Pop” during that magic post-Thriller time of the early 80′s. It was our awkward-white-kid way of declaring allegiance with a talented and troubled musical genius. Hope this strikes a chord!
