Jason: I thought you were wrapping presents.
Me: I am wrapping presents.
Jason: No, you’re putting everything in gift bags. All a gift bag says is “Hey, here’s your present. I didn’t bother to wrap it.”

I hate it when he’s irritating and funny at the same time. It’s very hard to deliver a set-down when I’m laughing.
The circle of justice works for us. Two people enter. One person leaves.
oh but he’s so right. I did that to my sister yesterday. I felt so lame. But the gift bag was HUGE and her baby turned it into a cubby house so I think all was forgiven!
I’ve decided that as long as I don’t crinkle it or write on the attached card, then the gift bag is almost like a separate gift because they can fold it up, save it, and use it again themselves. It’s like recycling — so I’m not wimping out on the wrapping. Instead, I’m saving the planet! Man…I’m really good at rationalizing!!! 😉
I was just thinking how eco-friendly you were being and that Jason should be so proud!!! Then I read your response and…we so think alike! However, as I watch Sophia open her bday gifts (some wrapped and some in bags), I have to agree with Jason in that unwrapping is so much more fun! But, then again, some things just don’t wrap easily or prettily and should be bagged. There, you both win! Glad I could help 🙂 !
